Shri Gulab Singh has been working tirelessly towards the overall amelioration of his constituency ever since he stepped into the field of social service. He has been an active social worker since a very young age. He started his political journey with Aam Aadmi Party. When Aam Aadmi Party started campaigning for the 2015 elections, Shri Gulab Singh was an easy choice for the party to decide on an apropos representative for Matiala constituency.
In 2015 when Aaam Aadmi Party secured a win in 67 out of the total 70 constituencies in Delhi, Shri Gulab Singh had secured the Matiala constituency by a massive margin of more than 28,000 votes. With this victory he commenced with his aim of improving the overall situation in his constituency.
In 2019 when the next Delhi Legislative Assembly elections were held, the party made an internal assessment of all their representatives from various constituencies and through ground research by an independent agency found that Shri Gulab Singh was a unanimous choice of the people of Matiala. For the second time in a row, Shri Gulab Singh was elected by the people of Matiala as their representative. With this Shri Gulab Singh continued with his efforts which he was putting in towards the betterment of his constituency.
Seeing the continuous efforts of Shri Gulab Singh, the party appointed him as the party spearhead before the recently conducted Surat Municipal Elections. Keeping in view his leadership capabilities the party decided on the appointment of Shri Gulab Singh as the face of the party for making in roads into new territory.
With his sheer tenacity Shri Gulab Singh made a considerable impact in the Surat Municipal Polls conducted in Feb 2021. Faced with regular odds from the opposition parties he held his party agenda high and moved ahead fearlessly. He was instrumental in organising the entire campaign of AAP in the Surat Municipal polls. His entire campaign was planned keeping in mind the upcoming Gujarat Assembly Elections in 2022. With his efforts AAP was able to make considerable in roads into a new state, thereby opening a new chapter in the overall gambit of AAP.
Shri Gulab Singh has been an integral part of the AAP right from the days of its inception. The party leadership has placed great trust in him in view of the his continuous power packed performance.
As a leader of his constituency he has been able to manage his massive team in a near perfect manner. The party leadership in view of his performance decided to elevate Shri Gulab Singh's portfolio by making him the head of the Pradesh Kaaryakarini Samiti. This is like another prestigious feather in the cap for Shri Gulab Singh. As the head of the Pradesh Kaaryakarini Samiti Shri Gulab Singh would be holding a huge and a highly responsible portfolio of deciding on the overall functionality of the party at various levels.
